It's been a while since you've seen these two belle ragazze. Well me too! After nearly five months apart we needed some quality girl band time. And what better excuse for a reunion than a birthday? After Alice had made mine and Jess's Bordeaux birthdays super special back in June, this time it was our turn to join forces and arrange an unforgettable birthday weekend.
Starting with the birthday cake. Now you may be thinking 'that's not a birthday cake, that's cereal in a jar with a candle'. Well that's about the essence of it. But as Alice feels the same about granola as I do about muesli it was better received than any triple tier frosted chocolate cake.
Next on the list of birthday activities was a not-so-surpise trip to Venice

We then made our way to my favourite bar in Venice, Bacaro Jazz. Conveniently coinciding with happy hour. If a birthday isn't excuse enough to double up your bellinis then i don't know what is!
P.S. these are the best bellinis in town (sssh, keep this on the hush else every Tom, Dick and Harry will be there!)
In fact the bellinis are so good it'd be rude not to have more. Well that's what we thought anyway. So there we sat, drinking and chatting until it was time to go home.
